When you buy from a dealer, they invariably toss in older bottles that don't smell good and won't last long.

Locker Room.. the traditional Clifford Hassing brand? or Locker Room Marketing of B.C? I am guessing the latter. But again SPECULATION as FACT. What dealer? Did LRM not start using Hexyl, as opposed to the traditional amyl / pentyl formula of old? I think so. Please clarify what you are talking about.

@Thinking ofTheProf

You wrote, "Please clarify what you are talking about."

This is one of the major problems with this forum especially, but other poppers forums as well: Most people that post thread topics and/or comments don't clarify exactly what product they're talking about and/or from what vendor they got their products from. It's almost always a low effort post such as this one, for example, by so-called "Amyl specialist"

You also wtote, "Did LRM not start using Hexyl, as opposed to the traditional amyl / pentyl formula of old?"

Yes, on many of their products. However, Lockerroom Marketing (Canada) still have a few pentyl products, for example, their "Jungle Juice Black Label Extreme Formula" and "Jungle Juice Platinum Extreme Formula"

That being said, their pentyl formula has changed over the years.

The original formula was: Pentyl Nitrite, 2-MethylButyl Nitrite

Since a couple of years (not sure exactly when), it has become: 1-pentanol, 2-methyl-1-butanol, 2-methylbutyl nitrite, pentyl nitrite

In my opinion, although it's still got that familiar Canadian pentyl buzz, their newer formula, with it's added pentanol and butanol ingredients, is not quite as good as their original formula.

Thank you, Gym! What are the functions of these later additions: 1-pentanol 1-butanol ? Are they preservatives perhaps (that's my assumption) and what is your opinion of the Hexyl LRM brands?

Even NitriteSpecialist knows the base alcohols are always found in the reaction mixture. Poon out.

Oh my, how embarrassing.

@Thinking ofTheProf

I've never tried LRM Hexyl, and never will. Based on everything I've read, it's supposedly very weak compared to LRM Canadian Pentyl.

Lockerroom Marketing BC, with the JJ logo is the best formula. Their Rochefort poppers never disappoints.
