I've recently had on/off success with DS. Occasionally, I get a great bottle, but usually it's ho-hum stuff. When DS was new, they were great. But I've noticed a pattern when a new brand appears. They're great at first, making small, high quality batches. Rave reviews and everyone rushes to buy them. Then, they ramp up production and the quality goes to crap. The Maserati turns into a Mustang.

An interesting observation. Poppers go " ho-hum" when they are not fresh, and not stored correctly, yes? Of course, it can be that they decide to "mix" after the initial batch, so effectively change the formula. It is my understanding, from reading this forum, that there are certain less desirable formulas that are longer lasting, more durable, so maybe that is the answer. I have no specific experience with Double S, but I noticed this too with Rush.

ho-hum, Que sera, sera!

I have purchased Double Scorpio from 3rd party vendors on several occasions. Sometimes the results are good. Sometimes not. I think many 3rd party vendors purchase old stock from DS. This is why often times the prices are lower.

It's been suggested on here to purchase directly from DS to insure fresh product. But Wow !! the prices for buying directly from them are super expensive. But maybe that's what is needed to get fresher product.

Did you buy directly from DS or from a 3rd party vendor ?
Just wondering.

Once again, the type of alcohol used and its purity at the exact point of popper synthesis are critical to a great popper. And all poppers go bad eventually even when not opened. You can tell the alcohol has degraded over time, as the scent becomes less and less pleasant and harsh.
