Because your system gets very good at converting the methyloglobin back into hemoglobin as a result of using it over time. A type of Tolerance to your system. The only time I ever hear somebody's tolerance breaking, is when they get off it for a year or more. And that tolerance will kick in quick when using again.

I noticed a big change probably around 2010 or so. Prior to that, I was still getting good poppers. ( USA Isobutyl ) I might be off by a few years. But there was a point where quality quickly started to deteriorate. Maybe the quality of ingredients had something to do with it ???

I disagree that its tolerance, I sniffed poppers in 1992 just a few sniffs from a bottle in a park with some hippies, it was a proper fierce buzz and I never brought any or was around it again until 2023 when I started buying some to goon with, it is literally trash nowadays, I started buying the strongest poppers off twisted beast, ass ammo and it is weak as piss and after 2 days its totally useless, which is really not much difference to when its fresh, I tried loads of brands and all the formulas, they all have different names but are all trash... I only ever had one natch of ass ammo that made me goon like fuck and that was it, it was pretty strong but in comparison to that 1992 feeling it was still shite, i#d say its all made by amateurs, it is definitely unregulated and if you get a good batch once in a blue moon its because it is either luck that you got some freshly made stuff or just that the maker fluked it and got it right, or that it is fresh and has been stored correctly and in good tight bottles,

the poppers sold today are unable to be the same formula, the molecular structure of the formula is different, just a tiny difference to a molecular atructure can have massive differences to the effect. i am not a chemist but i know the molecular structure of isoamyl nitrite is very different to butyl nitrite. just google it.

tolerence may have an impact on popper effect but nowhere near as large a impact as inhailing a completely different substance to the one which worked so well for decades.

over usage on current poppers will only make utter rubbish effects a bit worse over time.

I think the exact same thing as you anon. Right around the same time period too. Poppers back in the early 2000's were absolutely amazing. I was specifically getting jungle juice platinum back then. I ended up moving across the state around that time to a tiny town and poppers were no where near my area. It took me a few years to seek out some brick and morter shops and online, maybe around 2016-2017 and noticed that poppers no longer had the same effect as before. In fact, they're absolutely trash now. I have tried tons of different brands from tons of different places and all with the same effect. Recently, I ordered jungle juice platinum from a company in Switzerland that sold genuine locker room jungle juice. That stuff stinks so bad, it has the most awful chemical smell to it. It's unusable for sure. The stuff they're selling in the states now, it smells like the original stuff from back in the day, but it has little to no effect.

So how can I go 5-6 years without them and have a tolerance? Something changed, and with that said I will be forever on the hunt for that elusive formula. Oh man, those were the days!
