@Liza: I would be very surprised if poppers are no longer available for sale in the common sex shops In Amsterdam.

As far as I can recall - going back to the early 70's - poppers have always been available openly for sale in the Amsterdam sex shops; and real Amyl Nitrite might be available for sale "under the counter", if you ask.

Having said that, I do not know what the Netherlands' government current policy is on the sale of nitrite inhalant products.

Can you list the shops you visited, Liza? Tell what you purchased and what were the effects?? What's it like over there? I saw on Sky News that they were closing a lot of places in the center due to rowdy stag parties, yobs creating mayhem and disturbing residents. True?
