I hadn't bought for a couple of years from poppers aromas, but thought I would try them again hoping for better than last time.
they claim dejavu will remind you of 90's poppers.

very prompt delivery which was good and all secure.
safety push top which seemed secure and works fine.
first instinct was good. nice hit, felt dizzy, face flush but no erotic feelings watched porn but didn't feel aroused.
certainly not old school poppers.
a little better than some but nowhere near the old feeling. side effects not great either.

I had my last bottle of pup juice to compare it to. so I tried a hit before dejavu. dejavu was far better than pip juice, but that isn't necessarily a plus for dejavu,.just a big negative for pup juice.

overall average, nothing special

It’s hard to believe in the year 2023 with all the freedoms of this country, that I can go buy any drug I want on the streets but I can’t find good poppers like from the 90s. It’s ridiculous. How can the stores be filled with poppers that are just shit. Bizarre

Skegness4Ever said on Fri, 28 Apr 2023 at 22:19...

Bizarre

> in the year 2023

& how old are you? because the effect of poppers is TOTALLY different when you are a young person, as compared to a senior. The exact reason for this can better be described by the boffins, but it's a reality trust me. Same like you used to be able to go out and get shit faced, with little or no problem....now try downing 10 special brews, followed by a curry, and you will be off sick for a fortnight. Bodies change, chemicals don't.

I used Joe Miller's poppers extensively in the bath houses. Regardless of where I bought them, they were always effective. For instance, they strongly relaxed the ass and didn't give side effects. A pure enough popper should ALWAYS strongly relax the ass and hopefully not give excessive side effects, especially if it's amyl nitrite. The Jungle Juice Canadian poppers I bought from Aromas in France, for the most part did relax the ass, and not cause bad side effects, but they didn't send me to the moon either. The last order was dead on arrival, so clearly they go dead once their shelf life has expired. It has nothing to do with age.

Nitritespecialist said on Sat, 29 Apr 2023 at 12:46...

Clarification: It has nothing to do with a person's age. Remember....use some critical thinking skills if you can......amyl nitrite was first used for angina....an old person's disease.....do you really think it would be prescribed for old people if it were so ineffective at relaxing the arteries(and the ass in old gay guys).????

Mickey blue eyes said on Sat, 29 Apr 2023 at 12:55...

yup nothing to do with age misinformation.

Skegness4Ever said on Sat, 29 Apr 2023 at 14:51...

so you say that the effect of poppers does not change as you age?? clearly it does. amyl nitrite as a medicine for angina is not relevant, it eases those clogged up arteries as an emergency application of course, but those mayonnaise and burger fat pipes cannot work as effectively as they did when you were hanging out with Joe, whoever he is.

If you were in a bath house with this guy, it would have been around 1974-79? because they all got shut down in Times Square after that, making you at least 70 + my guess is your body is starting to fall apart and your cardio-vascular system cannot deliver the same joy as when you and your buddy where fucking like rabbits at this downtown joint.. back in the mists of time..get real, man!

I know from past experience that it's not age it's the formula.

around 2017 poppers aroma brought out pig black. this original pig black formula still had a bit of side effects, but the hit was sexual ecstasy. the orgasm was out of body experience.

for a number of years I had tried 50+ different brands and they were all crappy post EU regulation poppers. then pig black came along. within a year it was gone.

rumour had it that poppers aromas added butyl to propyl formula to create it. but that the popper had been seized and tested by regulators and had been banned and poppers aromas had been heavily fined.

perhaps a competetors lobbying poster on a forum had seen the hype and helped regulator.

who knows. all I know was that was the last decent popper. after it was banned a new pig black with new formula written on the bottle came out and it was the same shit we have everywhere now. even USA don't produce anything decent, well the ones who I can get shipped don't

what I don't understand is why dosnt someone in the EU or UK or even USA make a butyl version it would make millions.

As an argument against age, nitric oxide affects your body the same. You may not be able to handle contaminants or the alcohols the same but viagra and other pills operate on the same nitric oxide pathways.

The Professor said on Sat, 29 Apr 2023 at 21:44...

Nitric Oxide also raises heart rate to accommodate for increased bloodstream volume from vasodilation.

the more vasodilation, the higher the heart rate.

a Human body's maximum heart rate decreases by 220-<your age>. A target heartrate for that 30 yr old (aerobic exercise) is 80% of maximum heartrate. A 30yr old can more comfortably handle a BPM of 160 (and therefore be able to keep their O2 saturation at a safer level, wile a 50 year old the target is now 136BPM; the same product that was enjoyable is now very life threatening since the body won't be able to sustain 165BPM anymore, and blood pressure drops dangerously low.

Mickey blue eyes said on Sun, 30 Apr 2023 at 09:15...

what determines the sexual arousal. I find vasodilation happens with almost all formulas. with this flushed face and increased heart rate. however this is not enjoyable if this is the only effect. I might as well go out for a run.

for me always the reason poppers "were" so good was the aphrodisiac effect. Between 1990 and 2010 it was the best sexual mind drug around.

The Professor said on Sun, 30 Apr 2023 at 17:49...

Yes, practically ANY alkyl nitrite of any condition will at least cause vasodilation.

If the popper is infested with nitRATE, the body load is very much higher than nitRITe, but the effects are the same.

In other words, the nasty effects put the brakes on any good feelings and you are mostly left with the bad.

If the popper is infested with aldehydes there will be a foul stench, lethargy at least, and those side effects again deny the development of any good feelings

If the popper is infested with acetates it will have an aroma with very little effect.

If the popper is at least neutral smelling, then the brain can decide its in a safe and wonderous place, and the sexy feelings will ensue.

Mickey blue eyes said on Sun, 30 Apr 2023 at 19:46...

yes I remember having good liquid gold/purple haze/Amsterdam ect. mid 2000 which had deteriated (usually after a couple of weeks). It made you feel a bit sick pretty quickly.
I guess these newer brands could be off or poor quality ingredients, but how could no company come up with stable product I mean there are so many. and why did poppers aroma score with pigblack and allegedly. an early version of sexline. it makes me think it must be the formula.
I have tried so many brands over the last decade, spent thousands on searching for that hit, and only once have I found it with pig black. I don't believe poppers aroma used better ingredients or changed their manufacturing process I think they just added a some butyl nitrite to it.

@Mickey...."between 1990 and 2010"....2010 is when Joe Miller died along with his popper making/selling empire.

I haven't been able to buy any popper that was nearly as good and consistent as his were.

The type of alkyl nitrite is not as important as the purity. If any bottle contains toxic enhancing impurities, it won't be good. You can reduce the purity with inert ingredients, ingredients that may slow down evaporation for instance or increase shelf life. BUT if the impurities are present due to degraded reagents, and distillation is not used for the crude popper, you are likely to have a poor quality popper.

Isopropyl, isobutyl and n-butyl are stronger than the amyl group, BUT when they contain certain impurities, most likely due to degraded reagents and/or the lack of distillation, those particular poppers are much more "toxic" than the amyl group, even if the amyl group contains impurities. So...purity is more important with IPN, IBN and BN.

Nitritespecialist said on Mon, 1 May 2023 at 13:15...

@Mickey...you are right....if vasodilation, increased HR and flushing are the only effects, poppers are pointless.

You can easily obtain all 3 effects with degraded/impure poppers.

The hallmark sign of any reasonably good popper is ass relax. If you still can squeeze your ass and resist a big one, the popper is weak or impure. The psychological effects come from the rush of blood to the brain, the clean, non-toxic purity of the product, and the enhanced pleasure and sensitivity of certain erogenous zones.

HotPants said on Mon, 1 May 2023 at 16:21...

@@and resist a big one

how big is big? i know there are some dudes with anacondas and they get a lot of problems about this

"Men with extra-large penises revealed they've been turned down for jobs, abused by strangers, and struggle to date because they are 'fetishised' ..."

makes you think that maybe it is not safe to get with with one of these dudes and with poppers. also there are types of lubricant now that desensitize the rectum and having a real MONSTER up there might be a road map for a hospital visit..i heard too that there is some guy that has silicone injection to make it like super huge.

Mickey blue eyes said on Mon, 1 May 2023 at 20:28...

@ nitratespecialist. you said isopropyl isobutyl and nbutyl are stronger than amyl group. this may be true but it was my understanding that only some American venders sell isobutyl and none sell, or admit to selling butyl nitrite. I could be wrong about this. but that is my understanding

MBE
by strength

n-Amyl Nitrite: 71.9%
isoAmyl Nitrite: 75.2%
n-Butyl nitrite: 81.1%
isoButyl nitrite: 90.9%
tert-Butyl nitrite: 98.6%
100% Nitric Oxide (NO) gas: 100%
n-Propyl nitrite: 103.6%
isoPropyl nitrite: 115.8% [104 f (40C) boiling point]
Ethyl nitrite: 162.2%

you won't get anything but smoke up your ass if you are reading anything by Ken aka hundreds of ignorant/offensive screen names here because he can't be banned here like he has been at reddit.

if you hang around, you'll quickly be able to detect his presence, regardless of what screen name he is using; MOST members eventually learn to just 'talk over' his nonsense

YMMV

re the legality; it varies by country, but in the US things shifted, due to legal challenges, from Butyl to IsoButyl. I'm not sure about Europe or England or China or Australia laws, but they seem to have shifted to isoPropyl in Europe, which is inherently dangerous to the eye

@Mickey: Thanks very much for your review of the new Dejavu product from Poppers-Aromas-EU.

Their website does not currently identify the CAS Number(s) for this new product manufactured in France; but it is most likely the same formula as all of the other "amyl" products: CAS Numbers 110-46-3 and 123-51-3.

This formula has an offensive odor, provides very weak pro-sexual effects, and then starts to go flat very quickly.

Please see my comments that I just submitted in response to your other post: Butyl Nitrite The God Particle.

As I stated in that response, I have been infrequently using nitrite inhalants since before 1975, and I strongly agree with all of your comments and observations regarding the current situation with all of the vastly inferior popper products currently being sold by vendors in the US and Europe.

Based upon my experience - and I am now 76 years of age - OLDER AGE is NOT the primary reason that older users are NOT experiencing positive and enjoyable pro-sexual effects from almost all of the popper products currently being offered for sale.

It is the QUALITY of the formulas that is the primary reason. Based upon all of the amyl and pentyl popper products I have purchased during the past 7 years, almost all of them provide no noticeable pro-sexual effects, are clearly inferior and weakened formulas, and are completely worthless for their intended purpose - which is to enhance the user's sexual pleasure, enjoyment, and orgasm.

In what has now become a very rare instance when I open a new, fresh bottle of poppers, with the first hit I will experience very noticeable and enjoyable pro-sexual effects - and then the formula starts goes flat very quickly and becomes useless.

As I have stated in previous comments on this Forum, it is my opinion that some manufacturers have definitely changed and weakened the formula of some or all of their popper products during the past 3-4 years. Examples are LRM (Canada) Jungle Juice Black & Gold Label (pentyl) and Iron Fist (iso-amyl mixture from Belgium).

Thanks again for your informative comments and observations.

@Mickey....Joe Miller could have been selling n-amyl nitrite because those poppers from 2008-10...the many I bought from all over the place....were much more like the n-amyl I have made. No distinct odor....no side effects...and the effects built with subsequent hits. They all became weak within 8 hours of opening....I don't remember any being good 24 hours after opening. I bought all different brands and labels..and they were very very similar.

He certainly made an amply pure popper that stayed active once bottled...it wasn't n-butyl because that has a very distinct odor. It may have been isobutyl, but that typically smells like nail polish compounds and the poppers I bought did NOT have that odor. So....it brings me back to n-amyl/pentyl. Lockerroom was busted in 2004 for smuggling amyl nitrite into the USA...which is why they can't send their product here directly.
