Hello,

I've just noticed something weird for the first time: when I mixed baking soda with some propyl poppers, which is a light yellow liquid, it turned orange...

Is this normal? I didn't pay attention before so I don't remember if it always did that haha

I've read on this site that mixing some baking soda in your poppers helps prolongate it by neutralizing the acid buildup that occurs as you use it so I'm testing that out

I have a theory that when you add anhydrous potassium carbonate(or perhaps baking soda) to a popper....when you shake it, it should look more like a snow globe....particles that quickly fall out and leave a very transparent popper. If it's turbid, the popper is too impure.

when manufacturing poppers they have a distinct orange colur, and a accompanying orange fog that goes with it

Reth how has your experimentation be going? Any interesting results? Making poppers requires low temperatures so I would think keeping them in the freezer would help, but not sure on this
