Has anyone here tried using a diffuser to fill the room with the poppered scent? Kind of like walking into a back room and getting a “secondary “ hit from just breathing in what the other pigs have been using.

Thoughts?

p.s. literally treating it as it’s sometimes labeled “ Room Odorizer”

@Poppered in DC: In my opinion, your thought of using a diffuser would be a very, very bad idea.
First, I do not think you will get a "secondary hit", because the vapor diffused throughout the room will not be strong enough.
Second - and more importantly - the offensive odor of nitrite will permeate the room for a long time and will most likely be very difficult to completely eliminate.
Do you really want the room to smell like poppers??

Rush poppers was truly used by a dude to de-odorizer his room, he made a statement of this fact, as part of one of those governance reviews, back in the days of the poppers panic / poppers clampdown / poppers ban. Incidentally, this is the origin of the store poppers in your freezer story...'cus sellers were saying to stock up, panic buy, before the ban. Ban never happened, but folks still put poppers in the freezer, and ruin them.

One BS story is that 70's disco clubs were pumping poppers onto the dance floor. Not true. If the poppers were wafting in from dark rooms...well, yeah i guess it can happen.

haha...nope...but different strokes for different folks...some people might find it agreeable I guess, it sure does DE-odorize bad smells, right? cleans leather too.

I am more worried about the Lower flammability limit that you may reach without knowing .Even a spark may explode your house.

Alkyl nitrites are very unstable....to spray them into the air would almost certainly decompose them almost instantly.

I suppose if you want a popper like scent, get the base alcohol and spray it into the room. My ethanol based hand sanitizer always reminds me of poppers.

Despite Ken's triple posts of frustration, trying to be relevant, Poppers are NOT very unstable; they are MORE stable than the active ingredient, nitric oxide, which, when exposed to Oxygen, has a half-life of three seconds.

Looking at Oxidation degradation, a typical popper decomposes at a rate of bout 4% per week.

in other words, rather than Ken's "to spray them into the air would certainly decompose them almost instantly", they would make a fine locker room deodorizer if that's what floats your boAT
