I have been using poppers for about 13 years now I guess l. Still remember the euphoric feeling when a guy passed me my first bottle of popper. That rush of blood throughout my body, the hunger for cock in my hole and the feeling that anything the guy did makes you wantmore. That was how I got hooked to poppers.

However, as years gone by I seem to be losing that euphoric feeling more and more. I'm not a frequent user maybe once a week or once every 2 weeks and each session I don't think more than 10 short sniffs. Am I developing immunity to the effects or I'm just not getting the right quality poppers? Any long time user here who has the same experience as I do? Everytime when I purchase a new bottle, I really hope that's the one that will bring me back to cloud 9 but I'm getting more and more disappointed these days.

No you are not "immune" against poppers, the thing is, the quality of poppers worldwide is really bad at the moment. I´ve tried so many shops all over the world (Usa, Europe, China.....) but none of them are working at this time. Don´t believe in story´s of good poppershops and where to buy them in this forum they are all fake, none of them are working. So if you don´t know where you can buy a real good homebrew stuff in your hood, let it be! You will only get a bad cough but no high. Cheers

@Lost_the_high

"for about 13 years"

Your metabolism has changed, you have aged, the header in your post is correct. Not a question of becoming immune, it is just that the body changes and the effect of volatile nitrites changes. Somewhere on here someone answered this question before, better than I can. However if you are using IPN or Hexyl...don't is my suggestion.

Glove you are correct, ageing and poppers don't go well with each other, low testosterone levels and dried out balls are your first clue.Yes, keep away from IPN if you're going a little grey too.

Nitrites definitely negatively impact red blood cells, at least temporarily, so as a person ages, their RBC's ability to return to a normal state after being changed by the nitrite ion is likely lessened....so longer recovery time after a hitting poppers.

That said....what's in the bottle matters immensely. Joe Miller had it down to a perfected science. His poppers in 2010 were always good and the same. Then he died and poppers turned to shit. They were too acidic and didn't give pleasant effects. It's easy to make poppers that have a physiological effect, BUT it's HARD to make poppers that consistently give pleasant effects. LRM in Canada seems to make decent pentyl poppers, but I am having to wash and treat them in order to capture their full pleasure potential....I never had to do this with Joe's popperes.

I would add...that a temporary tolerance may develop. For example, a heady high may not be sustainable without breaks in between....breaks lasting hours perhaps.....but not typically days. If the poppers are nasty and causing side effects, then a much longer break will be needed.
