Greeting Fellow Canadians! Earlier this year I bought some supplies from Pop-Canada.com. I went back this week to their website. Literally every product says 'Out of Stock.' I tried signing up for their newsletter without much success.

I wondered out loud, "Did they go out of Business?"

if Yes, Where else can one order from?
Thanks!

Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. Who knows? All I can say is that if you ever visit Cleethorpes I can recommend several local businesses that will be most welcoming of your custom.

I thought that Candian popper busineses could not sell to Canadians, only export.

I'm confused by your question therefore. Was I mistaken when I read that Canadian companies can only export?

vivi said on Fri, 23 Jul 2021 at 06:17...

Oui, les fabricants canadiens n’exportent que vers les États-Unis. Les produits d’origine canadienne ne sont pas vendus au Canada ou aux États-Unis.

You Canadians have a government that wants to stop you guys getting high on poppers.

They are overly concerned for your well-being, and do not respect your personal choices when it comes to nitrites. They are fine with alcohol and tobacco though, no harm there lol.

I'm Canadian and I've been buying from Poppers-Zone (ADKT Group) for years with no issues. I believe their owner/head office is located in Belgium. I chose them at the time because they were one of the very few websites that were shipping to Canada and their prices were the most reasonable.

https://www.poppers-zone.com

This is what they say on their website:

"ADKT GROUP packing facilities are located in United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium."

As I said, I've been buying from Poppers-Zone for years. In fact, I've never bought poppers anywhere else online. So far, I've only bought their Canadian-made Lockerroom products, nothing else. And for the last year or so, I've only bought Lockerroom's Jungle Juice Black Label Extreme Formula (Pentyl Nitrite, 2-Methylbutyl Nitrite) 30 ml bottles. Up till now, I have not found a better product than Lockerroom's JJ Black Label (pentyl).

I always buy four 30 ml bottles at a time -- it reduces the cost by 10% if I buy four at a time -- and I choose the Deutsche Post shipping method.

The current cost for shipping four 30 ml bottles via Deutsche Post to Canada is CAD$22.07. If one buys smaller quantities, thereby reducing the overall weight, the shipping cost is only CAD$13.24. Orders are easy to follow by using the tracking number.

Over the years of buying from them, my orders have always gotten to me inside of 2 weeks. There's never been an issue at Canadian Customs. The packages have gotten through each and every time.

@ Gym. Thanks for sharing, the info is very helpful!
Curious, do the bottles you receive have the plastic wrapping around the top of the bottle with both the JJ logo along with Lockerroom printed on it with a lot number, example H47? The LRM photos have this wrapping in their website photos. I’m trying to order the real thing and there are so many fakes. Thanks!

Nitritespecialist said on Sat, 24 Jul 2021 at 18:36...

@Rush..yes...my bottles that came today have H55 on them. Don't get the hexyl nitrite unless you like a very weak popper. It might be stronger if it's poured off into a cup or by way of a mask. Odor is quite distinct and mild, but not unpleasant.

@Rush Options

The JJ Black Label bottles I received from Poppers-Zone all had a shrink-wrapped plastic full body sleeve with the "JJ" logo on the cap area. However, I can't tell you for sure if any of them had "Lockerroom" printed through the "JJ" logo. I just don't remember. However, on the back of those same bottles, the trademark "JJ" logo does indeed have "Lockerroom" written through it. Moreover, the bottles were shipped inside their own individual JJ Black Label box.

You can see a picture of the JJ Black Label bottle and it's box on the Poppers-Zone website.

https://www.poppers-zone-canada.com/pentyl-nitrites/2554-jungle-juice-black-label-30ml-2000000030036.html

And just below is the Poppers-Aromas image of the same product.

https://www.poppers-aromas.eu/big-poppers/18-jungle-juice-black-label-4.html

As you can see, there are slight differences between the two sites with regards to the product's sleeve and box labeling. However, I believe the slight differences come from Lockerroom itself and not from the possibility of fake product and labeling.

Now, regards to the lot number.

The shrink-wrapped plastic sleeve that seals the JJ Black Label bottle goes from the bottom of the bottle right up to the top of the cap. It's one piece of plastic film. Needless to say, when a bottle is opened, the part of the plastic sleeve that is shrink-wrapped around the cap needs to be removed and if there was a lot number there, it's removed at the same time I open a bottle. This is why I don't remember if "Lockerroom" was written through the "JJ" logo or not.

I know Nitritespecialist has mentioned a lot number but I've personally never noticed a lot number before. In fact, it was a surprise for me to see him say that there was.

So perhaps there was a lot number on the bottles and I just never noticed it (that's not very likely). Or perhaps there was no lot number on the bottles (this seems more likely to me). Either way, I don't know for sure.

Though I will say that I'm someone who pays a lot of attention to detail so, as I said just before, it's more likely that there was no lot number on the bottles I received from Poppers-Zone because I probably would have noticed that.

Now just so you know, I placed another order of four 30 ml bottles of JJ Black Label this past week. It cost me $74.34 CA in total which included a 10% rebate (when buying 4 bottles), a $1.60 voucher from my previous purchase and Deutsche Post shipping. Comparatively speaking, the same order at Poppers-Aromas would have cost me $96.87 CA, a difference of $22.50.

Needless to say, when I receive the Poppers-Zone order, I will make sure to check for lot numbers.

All that being said, I can assure you that I would not have continued buying from Poppers-Zone if I was not completely satisfied that I was getting a genuine Lockerroom product.

So I'm going to wait for my shipment to arrive -- it will probably take another week or so since I chose regular Deutsche Post for the shipping -- and then I will email Nicolas, the Poppers-Zone owner/manager/representative I've emailed over the years, and ask him about the small discrepancies in labeling/packaging between the JJ Black Label product sold on his site and the JJ Black Label product sold at Poppers-Aromas. And if I don't see a lot number on the bottles I receive, I will interrogate him about that as well.

And frinally, but only after I receive my latest shipment, I will try contacting Lockerroom Marketing directly, either by phone or by email, to try to get some definitive answers with regard to the labeling/packaging discrepancies between the two sites as well as the lot numbers not seen on Poppers-Zone's Lockerroom products (assuming I don't see any lot number on the bottles I just ordered.)

We will eventually get to the bottom of it all. :-)

The manager of LRM told me they just started using lot numbers as a quality control measure. I think of the 3 bottles I first got, only two had number on the side of the lid....in black print on the side of the plastic sleeve circling the lid. This is where the manager told me to look and how I found the number.

My current 3 bottles...I only see lot numbers on two...an H55 and H45.

@ Nitritespecialist - Thank you for the information on labeling of the LRM products and the heads up regarding the new hexyl formula - sounds like something to avoid if possible.
@ Gym - Many thanks for the detailed feedback and information, very helpful indeed!

Toby said on Mon, 26 Jul 2021 at 16:15...

Thanks for sharing your feedback about hexyl where you said: "Don't get the hexyl nitrite unless you like a very weak popper."

This is useful to know. I will avoid.

Thanks for the info there @gym!

One additional question, if they're coming in from Europe via Deutsch Poste, have you experienced any CBSA inspection or imposed duties?

Merci!

One question for the group:

Could someone educate me on the differences between Hexyl, Amyl, Pentyl, and Isopropyl?

Thanks in Advance!

I get mine from Canadapoppers.com

They are Canadian based so I don’t have to worry about customs seizing them. They have been around for years and love their service.

They have so many brands, I am like a kid in the candy store when I go to their site.. They are the only ones I used for the past few years.
