So I normally hit up a standard, beige, run of the mill jungle juice and for all intents and purposes they serve me well. I can have a good number of hits without getting dizzy and the while the rush is intense its not over the top.

The other day the guy at the store I buy them off gave me a 'jungle juice plus' by accident. I read the label when I got home and the active ingredient was exactly the same as good ol beige jungle juice: alkyl nitrite. BUT two or three hits of this made me feel like I was having an aneurysm explode in my head and I was totally out of it for a good minute after.

What's going on here? Are they bullshitting on the label about the ingredient ?

What store??? Where? Jungle Juice is the number two knocked-off brand after Rush.

You describe the aroma and I will tell you what is the bottle.

Poppers veteran here.

Thanks man, it's a store in Melbourne Australia. Are you around there? The smell of the standard jungle juice is quite decent, but the aroma of the jungle juice plus is much more pungent, it's almost like fuel.
I'm a bit of a newbie, can you recommend a brand you can buy in Aus that isn't so likely to be knocked off?

Chinese manufactured copy of JJ Plus - fuel aroma will be cyclohexyl nitrite C6H11NO2 or some mix containing it. CAS Number: 5156-40-1 Should be PENTYL NITRITE CAS Number: 463-04-7 in Jungle Juice ONLY, period. One other poss being it has gone bad (past shelf life) maybe the guy did not give it you by mistake? It might have been old stock.

The ingredient is not alkyl nitrite as that is not a formula. What does the CAS number say, you need to look at the small print. If there is no CAS number then my original suggestion is confirmed. Who does it say is the manufacturer (on both bottles) Locker Room Marketing?

Hope to help. Pics of the bottle would help, but not sure how you attach images here? Anyone...

Melbourne is an ace place, cool guys remembered fondly from years past.

Thanks man!
That's really interesting. Didn't know alkyl nitrite isn't a formula. Might do some reading up on the chemistry of it. I had a look on the bottle but there was no CAS number, I must have ripped that part off when I took the label off.
Do you have any advice or links for what specific formulas are the least likely to cause harm while giving a reasonable buzz? Thanks all the advice I really appreciate it and glad you enjoyed your time down here

No label so I cannot help. Safest formulas? So you guyz need to know one thing NEVER mix poppers with viagra. That is rule number one. Iso-butyl is said to be safe, or you can stick with pentyl nitrite which is similar to amyl and that is used by medical staff, so safe yeah. Check label before buying and take a list of CAS numbers with you if you visit a store.

if you like Jungle Juice then get the one made in Canada by Locker Room with the double JJ on the wrapper. If those guys do not ship to Aus then you got to go to some web place.
