I got an email saying that there is shortage as the manufacturer has stopped? prices going UP...what is this.

The Rush Hour said on Sun, 18 Aug 2013 at 20:47...

Yes that is correct. The manufacturer actually stated this July 24th. So were almost a month in now. Manufacturer has said production should resume with a "new" product around October - November! I would stock up until this resolves itself. There doesn't seem to be as big as panic as other times. However lots of sites are now without products or very limited product and the rest will follow suit as time progresses. People and retailers caused this shortage themselves I believe.

http://www.pwdpolishremover.com still has PWD in stock as well as other brands. Decent Prices.

http://www.jenray.com Still has PWD and other brands. Decent prices.

Only thing to is stock up now and ride it out.

What will be the "new" product? any idea?

The Rush Hour said on Mon, 19 Aug 2013 at 18:01...

I could speculate but it would be just speculation. Maybe new brand names, new pretty pink bottles with nail pictures, etc? Would be my guess. It's just people creating hassles basically. There are specific federal laws and many are not being followed and there are people with too much time on their writes who keep making noise about it.

too much time on their hands*

Thanks for sharing, Rush Hour. What is the story with PWD then? John Miller dies, then what happened...there is so much bull@#$% about this.

The Rush Hour said on Tue, 20 Aug 2013 at 16:31...

I have no idea who controls the PWD Empire. I heard it was his brother, then I heard his brother sold it. Near as I can figure out the PWD office is still in Indianopolis but dont know for sure.

AromaBoy still has product left yet too.

Solomon said on Fri, 23 Aug 2013 at 08:13...

Arizona methinks/ not Indiana? Anyway, as The Rush Hour points out, it is all speculation. There is no brand integrity anymore as the Chinese are happily pumping out very reputable >looking< poppers. There is now a feeding frenzy of conspiracy and misinformation about poppers created by individuals who know nothing at all about them. Now why is that?

The Rush Hour said on Fri, 23 Aug 2013 at 21:24...

No it is Indiana. Do a whois on the domain PWDNailPolishRemover.com Let me know what you get and this domain was registered just this year and long after the death of J. Miller. I mean this doesn't make it 100% but I would bet if you drove to that address on the Whois you would find PWD Offices in Indiana.

Why is there misinformation because everyone wants to be the one in the know. Any time I read a forum on this industry I just lol at the info people try to peddle as gospel. Just like the Rush Amyl story. EVERYONE just knows Rush at one time contained Amyl! If you don't believe it there are dozens and dozens of people who tell you it was so! One even cleaned toilets in the Old Great Lakes Product facility!

Just the facts Jack! said on Sat, 24 Aug 2013 at 06:16...

After Miller died his brother sold the rights to the brands to a group of guys. The new company was called Grand Canyon Products and was registered in AZ. Some of the equipment went to SVT Inc in PA, who was already packaging similar products. This is also when the nail polish remover plan was implemented.

For whatever reason, that group soon fell apart due to internal drama and the corp was then registered in Indiana. The AZ registration was dissolved by the State of AZ for non-response/compliance. John R Wilson is the principal listed on both of the registrations. Their official website address is www.pwdbrands.com, but that has been down for a while now.

There is no PWD company or plant. Even when Miller had it the name was Great Lakes Products. PWD and the brands are trademarks.

The shortage is due to the SVT Inc plant ceasing production at the end of July. He then raised prices by $2-$4 wholesale and clamped down on who could buy any of the remaining inventory. They now claim they are working on a master rebirth, but I have also heard the PWD brands are dead. Since Miller was shut down the quality has not been the same, so no big deal. I stopped buying PWD brands long ago, most of the other stuff available is as good or better and also cheaper.

Don't fall for this fabricated shortage/crisis and do not overpay for product. There are many sites out there not having a drama attack and that have not raised prices one cent. Look for those guys and avoid the drama.

It seems to me that the poppers industry is one long drama - like a soap opera! It is good of you gents to share some actual facts.

>everyone wants to be the one in the know.

Poppers has it's very own conspiracy theorists. The kind of folks who put tinfoil hats on their head :-) One thing I find disgusting is the way they bad mouth Mr Miller - talking ill of the dead is pretty low. As I understand it he did a lot of good for various charities and had quite a tough upbringing. Maybe he was a tough guy who made enemies? No idea. It seems to me that he was very successful and there are lots of people who regret they can't find the old quality assurance that PWD offered. So the future is pink nail polish? or what will happen now gents...

The Rush Hour said on Sat, 24 Aug 2013 at 14:45...

PWD Branded products are as good as ever. Actually I think the Rush is better than it used to be but what do I know.

Ahhhh yes PWD is trademark so yeah I am sure if drove to that the address in that Whois you will find the Grand Canyon Products-PWD-ETC what ever name you to call it offices. What "ever" you want to call it is really irrelevant as the office is in IN.

I would suspect and bet there will be new PWD brands and new non PWD Brands but again just more rumors, speculation and hear say at this point. Someone has always talked to someone who knows someone who is related to someone who knows!! One thing that will prove all of this will be time. Just stock up and "ride" it out. Too much money for this to just go away. Just have to appease those making the noise again.

Just buy what you like. If you like the PWD brands buy them don't let the PWD haters sway you and if you don't like them don't buy them. Pretty simple how a free market works. I like PWD brands myself but have tried the Ignite and really liked that as well. Blueboy is good I think.

Far as those raising prices most of those sites I have found to be charging to much to begin with. Pretty and fancy sites cost money and you pay for that by higher product cost.

Drama in this? Naw never!

Hate and anger with poppers....oh yes! On some specialist dom boards there are regular fights. Not sure if anyone hates PWD...why? More a question of self hatred and nostalgia for the first bottle?

Panic attack! buy poppers now! PLEEEEZ people//

Real Rush said on Fri, 6 Sep 2013 at 10:28...

Shut up! You know zero about it. I am no inside poppers expert but I listen when those in the know speak.

PWD and Joe Miller: PWD Rush brand was bought from the "distraught mother" of a guy called Freezer. My >GUESS< is that Rush was originally amyl nitrite and Pharmex changed it to isobutyl when Hassing turned up??

Joe Miller commits suicide... 2010 yeh?. Why I don't know and neither do all the popperheads who spout on about it. Anyway> shortage.

Some guy in PA picks up the ball. July 2013: guy stops. >Shortage.

Not so difficult to understand, huh?? You sux4 are just one more "all knowing" dickwad.

Here is a online message posted by a poppers fan a few days back:

"Joe, please don't take any extreme steps. We will get through this. The popper community is depending on you. We will find a way forward. Take a deep breath, take my hand and we will see light at the end of the tunnel."

Its what he would have said (if he could) like from that show Touched by an Angel.

Punkah Wallah said on Sat, 7 Sep 2013 at 16:14...

dude! there are only 1000 bottles left worldwide... GOLD RUSH.

Tosser del Mar said on Sun, 8 Sep 2013 at 14:22...

The laughs continue. I focking love this guy....today our poppers fan is asking about how could it be.. how could it be..... Miller's estate didn't sell the Rush "secret formula" hahaha and let the "poppers community" down lol love the way he talks about "Joe" as if he is a long time buddy.

He posts every couple of hours and here is some great advice he shares; if your partner says no to inhaling caustic chemicals whilst making lurvvvvv.....

"This technique is also particularly useful if your partner opposes or disapproves of poppers. Even on one-night stands I have found people oppose my use of poppers, and the 69 position is a great solution to this in my opinion."

"opposes or disapproves" hahahha amazing guy! "in my opinion" lol

I like PWD products and thank you for the answers.

There are people who are obsessed by poppers. The clinical way in which he describes his precoital deceptions is less comic, more alarming.

I should think a sixty nine would work well like that. Another fun one - avec les poppers - it begins with a r ;-)

Yep that dude is a real hoot....

"I am jumping to the moon with joy!! Is it possible that we are back to the golden age of poppers"

Not gangnam style. Bertie Wooster style..crank up that gramophone, homeboy. I always thought you talked out of your ass, Hayle. Now you are saying it has other uses? or are you the supplicant at the temple of Sphinctus?

No poppers right now in Maui Hawaii...the remaining stock they do have sells for $20 - $30 per bottle of rush retail...the current product not as good as it was back before 2010. Anyone knows were a guy can order some quality poppers from?

As a retailer, this is what I can tell you from the information we are getting from our suppliers. As Mark Twain said, believe nothing you hear and only half of what you read. I'm sure this is somewhere in between the truth and fiction.

Supposedly the U.S. government is now trying to crack down on popper sales in the U.S. just like Canada has done. They are once again trying to stay 2 steps ahead of the game and are now branding them as "electrical contact cleaners" with all new brand names. According to our supplier (who is a wholesale company that buys from the manufacturer) all previous brand names are gone and will no longer be manufactured. We don't know for sure if they've changed the formulas any or ingredients, or are simply slapping new labels on them. I think there is a grain of truth possibly to the government being after them. Our supplier who sells a lot of adult items has a website you order product thru. They listed the new stuff for about 24 hours on their website and suddenly pulled it down. I waited about a week as we still had a good supply of the old stuff (we heard about the shutdown and stocked up) and they told me the manufacturer is forbidding them to advertise the product or put it on the website. They have to send us a price list by fax or e-mail and order it that way. Again, truth is stranger than fiction and the truth is out there. I doubt we are hearing the complete story, and probably never will know the entire truth.
