I have a blind spot in the centre if my vision after using isobutyl nitrite. It is not known if my clear vision will ever return. Why are poppers not tested and regulated?-what was wrong with the original amyl nitrate?I find myself sad, debilitated and angry about poppers that are nothing like they were in the eighties, nineties e.t.c. regarding the high obtained and no perceptable re-percussions health-wise.All I wanted was to enable penetrative sex between my husband and myself.I fear that I have become a victim of a multi-million pound racket that exploits peoples desire for what we got years ago but cannot get now: a muscle relaxant and short term high to enable sex or masturbation. Is the cost of the current trade in dodgy, barely detectable 'highs' worth our health?-Is there an embarrassed silence at the mention of poppers in Parliament?-Or WOT?

@Steve....it's because great, high quality poppers make guys wanna bend over and take the biggest and the bestest, over and over again. Oooh...I can feel the anticipatory stretch now!!! Yes, gay activists are far too "mainstream" oriented and embarrassed to ever change the popper policies that exist world wide.

@Steve...I didn't do poppers back then in the period you mentioned, BUT if they were that good, I'm sure they helped fuel the AIDS epidemic. The health authorities, though they couldn't prove poppers caused AIDS, they definitely saw the link - the "my ass is on fire", give me all you got to give me...link.

@Steve...Morever, if I had been into poppers in the 80s, when I was at my peak of youthful glory, I am almost positive I would have died of AIDS. As it was, I didn't like bathhouses and bookstores because I was NEVER high on libido increasing, ass gaping drugs of any sort. Not even alcohol.

The answer is right in front of you.

Oh wait sorry

I do feel your pain, OP, but isn't this also that you/we are getting older?

You miss the poppers that you did in your 20s that didn't have terrible toxic effects on your body.

Now you are in your 40s or 50s or even older, the physical and mental toll is horrendous and the harms far outweigh any fleeting high.

But you might say the same about a lot of things, drinking two bottles of red wine over dinner with your friends for example!

Your body is shot, your brain is shot, and you can't metabolize toxic yet pleasurable substances any more.

They were always bad but you used to have a young man's liver etc.

We all grow old. Sad but true.

I'm over 60, look 30 physically. I've always worked out. I never smoked, drank or did drugs and I protected my skin from the sun. I don't take any meds, cepting NSAIDS for some joint inflammation.

Getting older is no picnic, however. Our bodies and organs cannot handle what they once did. The liver is an amazing organ as it can totally regenerate and replaces itself every 4 years on average.

As a popper maker of 12 years, I know with absolute certainty that poppers can and do possess all kinds of impurities that make their side effects much worse and make any high much less pleasurable. I just tried my 3 day old amyl and it gave me a great high with no side effects. All I need is 5 minutes and I'm done. I'll wait a few hours or more to get another high. It's always the first few minutes that are so worth it.

Oh...and the odor of my amyl home brew is still spritzy and pleasant like Sprite Soda Pop. It's like smelling pop.

visit an optician and clean your mirror, it may be coated in condensed hot air.

Ken's still playing with his imaginary friends

everything they are saying now has been debunked years ago, but at this new site, which can't ban anybody, he's flipped out, screwed his own integrity, and somehow thinks he's teaching ME a lesson?

readers that are new to this forum probably haven't experienced the lying, deceitful, willful ignorance that is Ken (aka anonymous, aka popperass, aka madeplentypoppers, aka NitriteSpecialist aka PopperExpert, aka PopperMaker, aka kenjoneslee, aka John Mulligan, etc.

He'll fight his wrong ideas to the ground, hasn't attained control of this reaction 13 years, and is wasting everyone's time.

another big yawn with no new content, a dollop of lies, with a dash of baloney

Didn't take long for the Professor/Trump to go full throttle attack mode and say absolutely nothing yet again. Repeatedly attacks those who post their personal experiences.

BrewMeister - do you sell your poppers?

stevewanking said on Fri, 24 Jun 2022 at 15:33...

O.m.G!-Trump?Self image?Too old for poppers?-Amazing that I'm still alive after Aids?-There is not enough basic talk here-and maybe thats why its so intrigueing, apart from just wanting poppers that work and dont effect my vision.I am duty bound to come back today and say that my optician says that my vision has marginally improved since blind spot oblivion.Im still struggling, but am thinking that my clear vision will return now.I agree tho,my system at 52 is probably too old for longing for such highs now.Maybe Im a poppers manufacturrer tho?-Trolling -as the kids say.Or maybe I'm a real bloke with dodgy vision that dosen't expect dodgy recreational thrills? I had a few really scary episodes with giant blots in the middle of my eyes that lasted 1 - 3 days – in addition to general blurriness.

Then after reading up on the proven health effects of isopropyl poppers, I stopped using them. Never had the problem again. There are several documented cases of permanent vision loss. Now, when I buy poppers, if the site doesn't tell me what the active ingredient is, I don't buy it. It's incredibly irresponsible that that shit is even for sale.

Choose wisely, use with moderation and avoid mixing with ED drugs and they are generally safe and fucking fun.

To the last poster, well, what varieties do you use? Butyl, amyl, pentyl?

Been There said on Sat, 25 Jun 2022 at 15:03...

I don't care for butyl but I use amyl and pentyl and have the normal side effects – letting me know when I've done enough or... too much. Propyl I'll never do again. The others have not given me the holes in my vision.

Done That said on Mon, 27 Jun 2022 at 17:14...

Thanks. Pentyl and Propyl blends seem to be a thing in the UK... A thing to avoid!

The scientific information that I was able to find shows that only butyl, isobutyl, propyl and isopropyl are very toxic to the body and cause eye damage (macula in the eye) Degeneration.

Anonymous said on Sat, 9 Jul 2022 at 12:50...

Macular degeneration is also related to age.
It also depends on genetics, everyone has different genetics.
The above-mentioned substances have a greater impact on macular degeneration, the largest of the commonly used recreational nitrites.
