Made a down and dirty IPN since I ran out of LRM JJ and am awaiting a new shipment.

Took my cue from one of the Professor's referenced Italian studies.

I added a LOT MORE acid than a lot of the literature online says.

I guess-estimated my amounts, and were as follows.

20 mls battery acid from Autozone(about 1/3 total acid...6-7 mls)
10 mls 70% rubbing alcohol(about 7mls alcohol)
7-8 grams food grade SN into 10 mls water

Per the Italian studies, I added the SN solution to cold acid/alcohol and manually swirled the contents over a period of about 10 minutes outside...about 32F

Fizzed a lot when I added baking soda/brine.

Scent is markedly different from previous brews us much less acid...DRY, fragrant, pleasant, slightly sweet, slightly fruity. ZERO scent of the bitter rubbing alcohol. VERY volatile as gas escapes with audible force between openings of a sealed 10 ml bottle.

Effects are VERY slut inducing and provide for max dilation. It's pure joy until the dreaded caving of blood pressure occurred about 10 minutes in. After that point, not even a tiny whiff was possible. I took 1 ml of 1% methylene blue to help combat these side effects, but I still got the effect. Probably didn't wait long enough after drinking the MB.

So....I cannot say that pure IPN will always cause a collapse of BP since I don't know the purity of my home brew, but it's definitely something scientists should explore. Unfortunately, I don't think any scientists have studied nitrites for the pleasant effects versus side effects to see what accounts for all the spectrum of effects. It could be that some impurity is responsible for the extremely low BP.

hour later...had another IPN session. Very pleasurable effects, but BP caved after ten minutes again. Without the MB, I could not have had another blissful session this soon.
