First time user - any advice?

Hi all,

So, I’ve skimmed through some of the forums on here.. but there is so much, I can’t get a straight answer.

Me and my boyfriend have spoken about using poppers many times, and he says that he has a gay friend who told him about them but didn’t really give info on where to buy, etc.

My questions I suppose are..

1. What ones would you recommend for first time users?
2. Is there anything else you would tell someone that has only done her Google research on them?

@Annie....the best poppers are no longer available since 2010...the long standing popper making king, Joseph F. Miller, died then.

That said, Locker Room Marketing in BC, Canada has been making poppers for at least 20 years. They don't pack the initial punch that Joe's poppers did, but they retain a good odor and last for at least a month, especially if you wash them in a baking soda/salt solution, by shaking them, removing the wash water and then placing in a brown bottle on anhydrous potassium or sodium carbonate(easy to get on Amazon). Molecular sieves 3 or 4 can be added as well to remove any traces of water that will effectively destroy the popper.

I have reliably ordered mine from France. They got to USA in a week. I ordered JJ Black 30mls - 3 bottle pack.

Poppers are more of a gay thing. I can't see why a healthy heterosexual couple would need to involve them in their sex life. A gym membership and/or a hitachi wand would be a better investment.

Buying from overseas is a crap shoot. Poppers don't travel well by air.

Quality is all over the map, but they're are people making in the US (is that where you live?)

Your Q
1. The most potent poppers degrade the quickest. Degradation isn't just getting weaker, it also includes nasty Aromas and more body load (which can be a not fun, 'drugged' lethargy, nausea, sore throat, line duration hangover , etc.

For that reason, I would suggest a novice first try a weaker nitrite like Amyl. Any of the Amyl's (n-Amyl, isoAmyl ) still give good effects, and won't turn harsh on you as quickly.

Pentyl and Amyl are the same thing, btw. I suggest ordering from the country that you live in. Hexyl is another popper floating around, it is very very weak, not enjoyed by many at all.

If you end up enjoying the effects, you'll likely want something more potent. The Butyls seem to be the sweet spot for this (npi). They (N-butyl, iso ityl, etc) are more volatile, say the effects are more profound, but they also degrade and get obnoxious to inhale more quickly (particularly if speed by air overseas).
I would avoid any of the propyls, they are known to interfere with functioning of the eye, and can permanently damage your vision.

2. Poppers are very fragile, store then in a cool dark place to slow down decomposition. If you find a product that you like, but it doesn't hold together for very long, most of the harshness can be taken care of by neutralizing any acid that have built up

@Annie...Correction...the Professor's poppers don't travel well. Locker Room Marketing is the biggest maker of OTC poppers now. They make Jungle Juice leather cleaners. They come with excellent packaging, lot numbers and great fast service from France in Rennes. There are different makers...look specifically for Locker Room and made in Canada. Look for Pentyl Nitrite.

@Billy.....LOL....my brain is not so rotted that I've lost my sense of humor. I don't take this stuff nearly as seriously as it may sound!!! I only have a couple of points I keep hammering home. Firstly, I don't know the single best way to make nitrites, but neither does the Professor, although he has persistently claimed this for nearly a decade. Secondly, I believe n-amyl nitrite "probably" makes the single best popper because it keeps a good odor and potency for the longest time, while being shortest on side effects. The Professor attacks this theory without offering any evidence. He suggests amyl nitrite is too weak to make an ideal popper without mentioning any of its pros. Fact is...well made amyl nitrite is NOT weak.
All poppers can seem weak if they are not well made and/or degraded.

I get a small piece of tp, just barly wet it with any popper, and put it in a pipe. Take a drag when you feel the need and do your thing. More intence high and easier than opening and closing a bottle.
