Ordered from PA.eu on Tuesday and delivered on Sat to USA. Super fast.

Got 3 - 30 ml bottles. One is Rochefort label hexyl nitrite. Odor is mild, distinctly different from the pentyls. Perhaps smelling of a plastic chemical or mild cleaning solvent..neither repulsive nor pleasant.

No big rush or euphoria. Requires large deep whiffs to get ass relax, but it will eventually. Doesn't seem to last long.

When holding this bottle along with the JJ Black Label up to my nose...so two bottles....I got instant ass relax and instant ability to take a big one hard and fast, but still not much rush or euphoria.

The LRM poppers I bought before caused ZERO side effects...and so far none with my new ones.

I was going to order JJ Black and JJ Gold. LRM. Are those good choices? Or should I do JJ Black and JJ Platinum? Is there Amyl branded bottle worth it?

Nitritespecialist said on Sat, 24 Jul 2021 at 22:13...

@Dr. Who...I am still evaluating my second order from LRM. The first two JJ Blacks 10 mls lasted 5 days, but my first couple of tests were disappointing and then they seemed to improve.

The hexyl is weak, but maybe it will improve with age. My 2 - 30 ml pentyls are giving me confusing results right now. Takes a day or two to see how they age after opening.

Thanks for this review.

This is bad news about Hexyl, however based on what others have stated on this forum recently, I am not surprised that the Hexyl was rubbish.

I will avoid!

Poppers do not "age" like wine, this is nonsense. They degrade after opening, oxygen and water are not friendly with nitrites.

Hexyl is awful. I will even allow the fact that propyl has certain qualities, like high-tar tobacco, but Hexyl sucks...end of. Feel free to let it rest, and then check out the earlier vintages for those vanilla undertones, and the scent of crushed nuts...or for those who enjoy pointless time wasting..you have cats on YouTube or Fox News.

Nitritespecialist said on Sun, 25 Jul 2021 at 12:28...

Wow...another Professor persona? I never said poppers age like wine....I meant and implied that their chemistry changes over time especially after opening. This is why a bottle of poppers can seem to improve in a day or two....something has changed for the better, whatever that something is.

"Hexyl is awful" is NOT a helpful thorough review indicative that someone honestly tested it and noted all its observable traits. Yet, that person feels free to criticize others who do. Says a lot about that person's moral character.

I tested Rochefort hexyl nitrite again today...30 ml bottle from LRM and it's not totally awful. I prefer it's milder, somewhat pine cleaner odor and it does relax the ass enough and this time gave a slight buzz to the nipples. BUT it does require deep inhalations. So far no side effects.

Nitritespecialist said on Sun, 25 Jul 2021 at 12:33...

That said...I am still testing my two other bottles from LRM. The "Fetish" 30 ml bottle might contain both hexyl and pentyl although the label doesn't indicate so. It's based on odor and effects from my subjective point of view. I have said this before...I am not in love with the odor of JJ Black pentyl nitrite. It's a complex odor that lacks a certain "freshness". On this bottle, I am still testing before I make a decision as to whether it's as worthy as my first JJ Black buys.

Nitritespecialist said on Sun, 25 Jul 2021 at 15:33...

I retested all 3 bottles around 11AM....opened nearly 24 hours since receipt AND they seem to have improved....better odor and effects.

The JJ Black and Fetish are stronger pentyls....but don't know what if any mixture of nitrites there might be in these two. Odor is fresher seeming. Perhaps any degradation gases were driven off after opening. But it was similar story with my JJ Black 10 ml bottles...at first they seemed weak, somewhat odorous, and not great. But then the next day or two seemed to be much improved.

The hexyl nitrite is interesting when used in conjunction with the pentyl...especially after using pentyl. I prefer its odor somewhat...akin to a very mild, fresh pine cleaner.

@Dr. Who

JJ Black is my go-to. I've tried JJ Gold Label Triple Distilled but my impression is it is a bit milder compared to JJ Black.

That being said, everyone needs to be aware that JJ Black Label Extreme Formula and JJ Gold Label Triple Distilled are the only two remaining Lockerroom pentyl products being manufactured in the 30 ml size. All other Lockerroom pentyl products are now being sold in either 24 ml or 10 ml sizes.

For example, and just to name a few, Lockerroom's JJ Platinum 30 ml bottle is not pentyl anymore, it is now filled with hexyl. Lockerroom's Blue Boy 30 ml bottle is now hexyl. And Lockerroom's Amsterdam, Jacked! and Rochefort 30 ml bottles are all hexyl as well.

Going forward, when browsing any poppers website, including Poppers-Aromas.eu, if you see any Lockerroom 30 ml size product (other than JJ Black and JJ Gold) that is still being advertized as pentyl, it means one of these things:

- The website hasn't fully updated their Lockerroom product pages with Lockerroom's switch-over from pentyl to hexyl.

- The website still has some old Lockerroom 30 ml pentyl inventory that they're trying to sell before they start selling the new hexyl product.

- The website is knowingly false advertising what's in the bottles.

Again, JJ Black Label Extreme Formula and JJ Gold Label Triple Distilled are the only two Lockerrroom pentyl poppers still being manufactured in the 30 ml size.

Needless to say, it is now more important than ever to look closely at Lockerroom product details and to make sure we are well informed before buying.

It would be a huge downer for anyone to have purchased a 30 ml bottle of JJ Platinum or Blue Boy thinking that they are getting pentyl nitrite only to have their order delivered a week or two later and to see hexyl nitrite written on the back of the bottle.

Regards to the "Amyl" brand product (the one with a tiny gas mask on the label), I've never bought it so I can't give you any feedback but I believe it is made in France.

@Dildorider: you are paranoid as well as manic.

>something has changed for the better, whatever that something is.

lol you will start a new trend! Vintage Poppers <hysterical emoji> Oz Clarke has a good nose, maybe he can be convinced to do some sniifin'

Le Jus de la Jungle (2016 vintage) is reminiscent of black peppercorns, autumnal morns, a hint of summer cricket box, and the lingering smack of Russian sailor's jockstrap.

Joking aside: Stay away from Hexyl. As for this Pauline conversion from brew to Lockerroom: it is very bizarre. Those products are OK / fair / could do better, in fact some pentyl (which is what it is) is better from one small French niche manufacturer. If Lockerroom have now introduced Hexyl I regret that.

>"Amyl" brand product

French and contains iso-amyl.

The French adore le Piat d'Or!

I tested my poured off sample of LRM's hexyl nitrite Rochefort 30ml. It's now 48 hours old and stored at RT.

After taking a few hits of the pentyl, I took a few hits of the hexyl, which now smells a little like lime, and it was plenty potent enough....good ass relax...and trance effect.

So....in combination with pentyl, it works.

Hexyl nitrite is being pushed, again, as a 'new' type of nitrite, but it had a very brief moment years ago, as an alternative to butyl, when some manufacturers switched to isobutyl (although most continued to bottle butyl -nitrite, but the label stated isobutyl-nitrite).

It always gave me a headache, and effects were VERY slight.

The alcohol, Cyclohexanol, has a very low vapor pressure, even lower than the Pentanols.

If your metabolism can't handle the (IMO superior) Butyl alcohol nitrites, then it , perhaps, would be suitable, but otherwise, I think it's a ripoff, and I'm sorry to hear that Lockerroom is now bottling it.

Get with it manufacturers! It's not intractable to make a long shelf life Butyl or Butyl isomer based nitrite.

A little customer education on how to prolong the viability and avoid degradation, and the product would improve considerably

The Dreadful Flying Glove said on Thu, 29 Jul 2021 at 07:49...

> I think it's a ripoff

Yep, sure is. It surfaced pre-2010, and was the US version of PROPYL i.e designed to dance around restrictions. The French have no reason to be pushing it, unless it is dirt cheap so $ attractive, as pentyl is superior by far, and fulfills the need you mention:

"If your metabolism can't handle the (IMO superior) Butyl alcohol nitrites"

@Gym, thank you for the information. I don't understand all of the chemistry mumbo jumbo and don't care. I'm simple. I just want someone to point at a product and say to me, "This shit is good. Buy it".and I buy it.

I will order the JJ Black and try the Amyl with gas mask. Maybe another one. Ever heard of Twisted Beast poppers??? I hear Bator from them is good.

The Dreadful Flying Glove said on Tue, 3 Aug 2021 at 16:51...

>I'm simple

I admire your honesty! a little incongruous that you are calling yourself Dr...."Bumpkin Who" maybe better?
