Here's a radically different method for making poppers. Notice the batch example at the end.

I have tried it once and got a very different, much stronger NAN.

The mixing sequence is the polar opposite of what I've been doing for ten years. They don't use any great excess of reagents and mention the pitfalls of doing so.
