Help!!!!

Poppers have stopped having any effect! Tried lots of brands and different size bottles, even went without during lockdown but still nothing. Tried different suppliers but nothings working. Anyone got any ideas?

I'm based in West Yorkshire if some one local ish has a home brew I can buy/try......

That happened in the USA when Joe Miller of PWD based in Indiana killed himself in 2010. All poppers I tried after that had little to no effect. I resorted to making them but it was a long long learning curve. Isopropyl nitrite is garbage because it will make you hit a wall fast...and feel sick a long time. Isobutyl nitrite, which smells like a very sweet, nail polish remover type of compound(when pure enough) has toxic effects leading to a wall for me as well....same with butyl nitrite, which smells a lot better...like sweet bananas, but oh the dreaded wall. Normal amyl nitrite is the preferred popper because it's much harder to hit a wall with it and the ass effects are wonderful.

what is the "dreaded wall"? can you describe the effect. is it oxygen levels dropping in the bloodstream, so like dizzy feeling. or you mean the cough that butyl ones make, because iso-butyl nitrite sure does agitate the lung membrane. amyl does not do that.

thank you.

Yeah, tolerance is a bitch. Taking a long break can help. But like, do something good for yourself, like working out, staying in shape, etc. and you'll be better off for a good experience. I do happen to know, though, that heavy weight lifting increases the size of the blood vessels and can reduce the effect because you hit that vasodilator 'wall' faster and really, your body just kind of says 'stop'. Which, if you're listening to your body, you will. You might try the rolled-up sock method or dosing paper towel and putting it in a hard plastic bottle, Gatorade or such, with a bigmouth opening. A different delivery system can help, but simply huffing more doesn't. But think on this as well: just try taking a small hit and really holding it rather than going in full-bore. After you take a break you might find that LOWERING your dose and holding it until you really feel it might get a better result. Ta.

Can totally agree with your experience and I don’t think it’s about you or your consumption.
I’m based in Germany and normally I was buying at a sex shop.
Sometimes it was good stuff, sometimes not so good or with some side effects - but it worked...
Last times the stuff was totally crap - doesn’t smell like poppers and also no effect.
So I ordered online at tomrocks a bunch of different poppers.
Same thing - smells not like poppers, does not have any effect...
Think since this COVID stuff they don’t have all they need for quality products - so the all sell bullshit.
Don’t know where to get some good working poppers right now - if anybody has some recommendations for Germany (within last weeks/1-2 months) which pls let me know.

Ok that’s no option for me :-)

I had the same problem - I built tolerance to poppers and was just getting a headache, no high feeling anymore.
Actually later on I developed allergy rash after inhaling - that was a sign to stop. Sadly, but no more poppers for me..

Take a break. When I say break. Stop using for 2 months. You will see the difference. Also there is a lot of crap on the market.

This outfit is trying to change that fact. I can vouch for the HOT and the Medium blends. Very good shit. Not blow you out of the water old school popper shit but close enough and no side effects. Better than double scorpio to me.

+1 for ArtisinalCleaners. Bought them on eBay after seeing them mentioned here. Pleasantly surprised.

I used to get a crazy high when using poppers. I still get a high, but nothing like a used to. Maybe over use, tolerance, poppers aren’t as strong. Unsure.

3 issues here:-
1: tolerance
2: degradation of product (compare a fresh bottle with one open for a week or so)
3:quality of product.

I have the same problem; miss it a lot: i used to love fucking on poppers or popperbating. Now even my heart doesn't start pumping heavily....
Maybe covid is to blame? I had quite some long covid issues (smell/taste gone, then altered; erection issues, tirednes, ...)

Guys who r complainkng saying poppers dont work. Nd u tried a bunch of differnt types. Its just ur body not having a reaction. I kno this is possible. Nd no i dont mean tolerance built is the prolbem. Its just ur body structure. 4 example. Ive taken xanax b4 and it had literally no effect on me. And i kno they were real. Anf diddnt hav a tolerance. Now however... This can sometimes be due to a medication or herbal supplment ur taking so look into tht as it culd be blockibg the feeling ur use to getting from poppers. But it can honestly hapoen with anything where ur body is not able to get the feeling you want. Hope i helped just my 2 cents -wenis

Greetings all. This is a very informative thread thank you to everyone that has commented. I was a heavy poppers user and I hit the wall shortly after buying an inhaler top. I have tried socking but I’m not really into that sensation plus it I gives me a bad chest. I’m going to look up the chemical mentioned in the thread however I’m giving myself a break first.

I started reading up about this because I have been having a lot of the same issues. I try all different kinds and have not had any real good poppers for at least ten years. There is a little effect but not that animalistic desire like they used to have. So disappointed because I could have some pretty great sex and popperbate session's. Real poppers used to make me a little depressed after coming down, do not know why. But it looks like I have to start checking my labels closely. I have three bottles and my JJ says contains Alkyl nitrates which is a generic term for all the nitrates in that class. I read somewhere that you can get Amyl from Canada but make sure it says genuine export strength. a company in British Columbia called Locker Room Marketing,I think they are the manufacturer, but I Am having a heck of a time finding a retailer. I used to love switching it up with 3 or 4 different types but that isn't working now. I really hope it's not my body just being used to it. That would really suck.
