Hi, I am looking for methylene blue in order to help body in quicker recovery from the nitrites effect on red cell’s iron (what makes the « blue skin »)

Till now, used NAC and glutathion in helping the natural process but methylene blue seems to be the only way to directly perform the needed chemical reduction right on target.

I believe that some orally taken before or after would help but only see aquarium water treatments available in my EU side of the world.
Have heard about pills for uti treatments but these don’t seem to be available there.

Any tips on what to take, when, and doses ?
Thanks !

@Justchem : Why I am asking in this specific topic ;-)
Methylene Blue is not available anymore at chemistries here (France) but available for fishes.

So question is : What to purchase (I.e there are concentrates for aquariums some are 2,5 % some are 90 % ..and so on )

How to dose.... And so on..
I have read some op here using MB orally as counter measures against methemoglobinea why I am asking!

I have used 1% solution of MB. It's 99% water and 1% MB. I used no more than a few mls of this by placing in a water soda bottle and drinking quickly...as it tastes bitter and turns the tongue blue. Drug grade MB is best, but I bought high purity MB not rated for drugs.

It does work to prevent the ill effects of nitrites, especially if you take with Vit C, but I have since switched to using only n-amyl nitrite....which doesn't give me the severe toxic effects that the butyls and isopropyls do.

I would also add that MB is known to raise the blood pressure, which acts as a counter to the lowering of the BP that nitrites cause. So...with MB, I am able to get an erection while using poppers. Without, I cannot. Erections are caused by sustained blood flow and high blood pressure in the penile arteries. As systemic BP falls, it becomes harder and harder to achieve or sustain an erection, since the body's blood has to fill more volume all over, which reduces the amount available for an erection. Also, when the blood pressure falls to certain levels and lower, weakness and horrible sensations follow, all of which negate any pleasurable feelings that sexual arousal typically causes. All of this is to say that by helping to keep the BP elevated, MB can make the overall popper experience better.
