As metaphors go it is a nice one:

Not sure if it is so accurate though!

The chemicals still exist. Its very possible one day, someone will get very smart and find a way to produce and bring it back. May not be legal, but neither are drugs and they are plentiful. Im not giving up hope.

With the advent of the internet, communication and distribution of REAL old school Amyl is extremely possible.
The money to be made and the Love of that old school Rush feeling is what will bring it back.
some day. Its not like an animal thats gone extinct. The chemicals still exist.
